Honda plans to launch diesel car's next year

Honda announced that their must awaited diesel cars will be launched in the coming year.
“In India, an all-new diesel engine will be adopted sequentially to new models starting in fiscal 2014 (fiscal year ending March 31, 2014). In addition to the high fuel efficiency, the cost competitiveness of the all-new diesel engine will be enhanced through local sourcing and local production to make new diesel models more affordable for customers,” said Takanobu Ito, chief executive of parent Honda Motors, told reporters in Japan on Friday.
The company is also planning to build a diesel engine assembling unit in India. The officials had also mentioned that from next year onwards, all the existing models will have a diesel option. Due to the rise in the petrol price the company had suffered lot due to the lack of diesel cars and now they are working to overcome these rescission .
