Archos GamePad 7-inch Android Gaming Tablet

Playing games on Android phones and tablets is nothing new, but most of time you have to play on the touchscreen. Not many Android devices on the market have integrated physical gaming button. Sony has the first attempt with the Xperia Play PlayStation phone with sliding gamepad, and here comes Archos‘ new GamePad 7-inch Android gaming tablet.


The GamePad features 14 physical buttons, including D-pad, four actions buttons, two shoulder buttons and dual analog thumb-sticks to “bring the physical aspect back to the gaming experience”. The device is powered by a 1.6GHz dual-core processor with Mali 400 MP quad-core GPU and 1GB of RAM, and runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with full access to Google Play for downloading games. Though designed for gaming, the tablet works like other Android devices, and gets a 7-inch 1024×600 capacitive touchscreen display.

Using the mini HDMI output, you can connect the GamePad to your HDTV for playing games and watching movies on a big screen. The tablet also sports a front-facing camera, built-in speaker, 8GB onboard storage and a microSD/SDHC supporting up to 32GB. It supports WiFi connectivity.
The Archos GamePad is now available in Europe for Euro 149.99 and will be released in North America in Q1 2013.

Asus going to launch Nexus 7 tab in India in November

Glad news for tablet lovers in India, Asus finally decide to launch Nexus 7 tab India.

Google has announced this tablet in I/O conference in June, Its an 7 inch tablet has screen resolution of 128*800, runs on Android 4.1 aka Jelly Bean, powered by Tegra 3 quad-core processor. It is available in US for $199 for 8 GB model and $249 for 16 GB one.
Google has initially launched it in US, UK and Australia., then afterward they had launched it in France, Germany and Spain, now it seems its time for India.

Alcatel Launches One Touch T10 7-inch Android Tablet

Alcatel introduces a new tablet which has a 7inch display and runs on Android OS named as the One Touch T10. The device is Powered by Rockchip RK2918 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and has 1GB of RAM
The tablet runs Android 4.0.3 operating system. Its 7-inch touchscreen has 800×480 resolution and there is a 0.3 Megapixel front-facing camera for video chat.
The T10 supports WiFi 802.11b/g/n and has 4GB internal storage and a microSD/SDHC card slot. Priced at Euro 120, you just can’t expect much from this One Touch tablet.

At last ASUS has launched their new Padfone in India,which features a combination of two devices, one smartphone with a 10.9-cm (4.3 inch) display and a dock with a 25.6-cm (10.1-inch) display. The PadFone consits of a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor which is clocked at 1.5 GHz. Its 960×540 pixel resolution display provides a very intractive viewing with multitouch capabilities. Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system performs very well also and an update to Jelly Bean operating system is expected soon.

Micromax has recently launched another offing in the Funbook series called Funbook Alpha. The 7-inch tablet runs Google's Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich.

Google's 3G Nexus 7 within 6 weeks

•  Google is up to overcome the major draw back of Nexus 7, that is lack of 3G connectivity.
• Google announced that the 3G enhanced Nexus will be launched with in 6 weeks.
• Clearly adding 3G, and indeed any kind of cellular connectivity, would make the device all the more usable and appealing in the US and other markets worldwide. At this point it is suggested that this would be the sole change, with no other hardware tweaks; there’s no mention of LTE.
