Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GH3 the multimedia camera

Panasonic replaces their existing model Lumix Gh2 with new Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GH3-digital Single Lens Mirrorless camera. Panasonic defines it as a compact lightweight camera which is tougher than it's looks and it can withstand any extreme conditions of heavy field use and professional use.

It features a 16.05 Megapixel Live MOS sensor  along with a wide dynamic range paired with  high-speed Venus Engine produces fine quality images. The company mainly targets professional photographers, who wants better performance in image shooting and video shooting.

The new image sensor is capable of recording high sensitivity images with ISO 12,800 or ISO 25,600 in extended mode, the refined Venus Engine offers superior noise reduction. To reproduce bright areas and dark areas with minimum noise across the entire focusing range, Panasonic includes 3DNR (3D Noise Reduction) and MNR (Multi-process Noise Reduction) . The GH3 features ultra-high-speed Light Speed AF with advanced contrast AF system and full-area focusing and pinpoint AF for accurate framing. It is capable of 6fps high-speed burst shooting at full resolution. There are also AF Tracking and Face Recognition AF.

 The GH3 also offers Full HD 1920×1080/60p video recording. When recording in MOV, AVCHD Progressive and AVCHD format, the camera will automatically generates multiple seamless files for continuous recording. It has built-in stereo microphone for high-quality sound recording and will use Dolby Digital for AVCHD Progressive /AVCHD videos and linear PCM(LPCM) for non-compressed video recorded in MOV. You may also use external microphones for enhanced sound recording using the two 3.5mm terminals. For users to add creative touches to photos, the camera also include Photo Style with 6 color typs and Creative Control with 14 filters, such as Dynamic Monochrome, Impressive Art, High Dynamic, Cross Process, Toy Effect, Miniature Effect. The Creative Video mode provides four manual video modes – Program AE / Aperture-Priority / Shutter-Priority / Manual Exposure – for video shooting, and Slow Motion and Fast Motion recording modes.
